PURPOSE
The mission of the San Antonio Conservation Society Foundation
Library is to collect, preserve, organize, and make accessible materials
that document the history of San Antonio and Texas with an emphasis on
historic buildings, objects, places, and customs. The library is open to
the public as well to the members and staff of the San Antonio
Conservation Society.

Hours
Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Friday - by appointment only.
Closed major holidays and on San Antonio's Battle of Flowers Day
Parking
Free parking is available on the grounds
Staff
One full-time librarian and ten volunteers staff the library.
SERVICES
Research: Written, telephone, and e-mail requests are welcome.
Staff will provide up to one hour of free research time. Additional
staff research is available at $30.00/hr. Requests resulting in multiple
photocopies will require payment for the cost of copies plus shipping
and handling. Any payment required for research services must be made in
advance.
Photocopies: Library staff will
provide photocopies for patrons when doing so will not damage the
material or violate any restrictions imposed by copyright or by donor
agreement. Copies are 10
cents per page for black and white, and $1.00 per page for color.
Image Reproduction: Most of the photographs, maps, and
drawings in the library collection may be reproduced. Please see the
library's
photographic use policy and
price list for more
information. A signed
Request for Permission to Publish Form
is required on all orders
intended for publication or public display. Requests for maps and drawings are handled on an individual
basis.
